ACCJ Statement on the War in Israel

The Australian Council of Christians and Jews (ACCJ) is horrified at
the savage attack on Israel by Hamas.
The scenes of brutal terrorism: murder and public executions of
innocent civilians, teenagers, babies, women and young children fill
us with revulsion and terrify not only Israelis but many people around
the world.
We are aware of the emotional effect this is having on people in the
Jewish community and many others.
We express our solidarity with the many Australians who have family
and friends in Israel/Palestine and we understand the deep emotion
and constant worry that they are experiencing.
We join many around the world and embrace the shattered families
and mourn their loss.
